Memo from NRC

Post  john fitzpatrick on Thu Mar 19, 2009 12:10 pm

Below is my response to the current memo.

Dear Management

I totally disagree and object with your attempts to alter my contract. I will not reduce my fares to anybody under any circumstances. My costs have soared since deregulation and the work from NRC to me has decreased dramatically (I believe) due to the number of taxi operators being serviced by NRC.

I will be handing those jobs back and under no circumstances will I accept going last on the parking. If that happens I will view it as a serious breach of the contractual agreement between myself and NRC, that will be handled by my solicitor.

I have stuck with NRC over the years and have always provided a first class service to the passengers, often going over and above the norms to assist the passengers.

I believe that NRC should absorb the 20% reduction from its own resources until the time comes when quality and service counts for something.

Regards

John Fitzpatrick

Hi Guys,

Excellent response John, I don't have any copy of a contractual agreement between myself and them to consult but obviously the logic is that they provide us with work in return for a fee and at present they are charging us under false pretences. If you do have a digital copy of an agreement perhaps you could post it here. Their need now is to get drivers off the radio and the memo is their way of doing that.

NRC made 28 million last year so they have more capacity then drivers to absorb cuts. They could start with the levy they apply to accounts. If we had enough NRC drivers here we could organize an effective protest but we don't. As for me I'm leaving the business soon.
